MoFo 72 PDU - Parabolic Diffused Umbrella

How do you get soft light? Big light sources. And the MoFo is one BIG light source. The MoFo 72 combines the three magic elements of “softness” – size, low specularity from the white interior, and diffusion – with the ultimate portability of a parabolic umbrella. This is one soft MoFo!

We call this MoFo the 72 because it is 72" in diameter when measuring across the front of the diffusion fabric, which is the most important dimension. We see most of our competitors cheating a little and call their similar umbrellas 7', but they are measuring the curved bell side, not the flat front. We prefer to be straightforward. While ours also measures 7' across the curved bell, it measures 72" where it counts...the front face. Don't let the others fool you with their shenanigans. ;)
