Major Leap in Performance

The AD100Pro II Pocket Flash from Godox is a compact, portable, enhanced 100Ws flash unit with high-quality components, distinct group indicators, and careful assembly, featuring a better color screen, an improved LED modeling light, and a built-in zoom. Building on the popularity of its predecessor, the AD100Pro II offers superior performance with a dual 2.4 GHz and 433 MHz wireless system, combining TTL/M/Multi functionality and reliability for commercial photographers and photo enthusiasts alike. It has a 1/256 to 1/1 output with 0.1-step fine-tuning, a removable battery, a higher number of full-power flashes, and a compact, anti-slip 1.2 lb body that creates opportunities in the studio and on location, whether in single- or multi-flash environments.

Key Features

Wireless TTL Compatibility
Offering the versatility that photographers of various levels might want, the AD100Pro II features Godox's 2.4 GHz and 433 MHz dual wireless system, supporting TTL/M/Multi flash systems of major camera brands. The Godox 2.4 GHz wireless X system is fully compatible with TTL auto flash systems of Canon, Nikon, Sony, FUJIFILM, OM SYSTEM, Panasonic, Pentax, and Leica cameras. Power is adjustable from 1/256 to 1/1 with 0.1 step fine-tuning, with the addition of 1/8000 sec HSS to facilitate various creative shooting needs.
For Demanding Shoots
Employing refined optics, the AD100Pro II produces natural, soft, and uniform illumination with a smooth, flattering falloff. Godox's idea was providing greater control over lighting coverage. The flash has a built-in 28-85mm adjustable zoom that allows you to fine-tune the beam spread across multiple focal lengths. With a solid 100Ws of power, the AD100Pro II's upgraded cooling system enables a stable, sustained output for demanding shoots. The brand states that the unit is capable of 60-100 full-power consecutive flashes.
2.4 GHz Wireless X System
The AD100Pro II adopts the 2.4 GHz wireless X system to provide quick integration with a wide range of Godox-compatible devices. It automatically works as a receiver according to its chosen transmitter. As a receiver unit, the AD100Pro II can be controlled by the separately available XPro II, X2T, and X3 series of triggers, as well as the V1Pro, V100, and V860III series of flashes. Find a wireless range of 328', with 16 receiver groups, 32 channels, and 99 IDs. The AD100Pro II supports quick-sync pairing with the optional X3 and X3Pro triggers for immediate wireless connection.
433 MHz Wireless Module
Although the AD100Pro II is equipped with a 2.4 GHz wireless receiver, it also works with 433 MHz signals by connecting the optional Godox FR433 via a USB-C port. The idea is to enhance signal stability, avoiding interference for precise control of the flash. This requires the separately available FT433 flash trigger. The transmitter can be used with its FR433 receiver to achieve longer transmission distances. The FT433 is compatible with Canon, Nikon, and Sony cameras, while being able to control other optional flashes such as the AD200Pro II, AD400Pro II, AD600Pro II, and AD600BM II models.
Improved Battery Power
This unit operates using an included high-capacity 7.2V, 3300mAh lithium battery that can be charged directly via its integrated USB-C charging port. The battery delivers 490 full-power flashes with 0.01-1.5 sec quick recycling, and it takes approximately two hours and 45 minutes to fully recharge. Easily charge it with the included charger and USB-C charging cable.
Onboard Control & Group Color Functionality
Achieve intuitive onboard control thanks to an upgraded colorful HD screen and optimized local buttons for efficient, effortless local operation. Additionally, 16 groups with different color indicators enable quick identification in multi-flash environments, meaning each of the 16 groups displays a different color locally on the flash head for easy group identification even from a distance.

The AD100Pro II brings various improvements in a palm-sized body, such as an upgraded fan system and a multi-angle bracket for adjustability. Not only that, but Godox also thought of a better 5W LED modeling light that enables brightness adjustments from 1 to 10 levels. Speaking of accessories, the flash pairs well with Godox's separately available triggers and other optional tools. Its built-in magnetic mount works seamlessly with the brand's round-head accessories, including the convenient AK-R1 accessory kit, the AK-R22 collapsible diffusion dome, the AK-R21 projection attachment, a Bowens S3 bracket, and light stands. Modifiers are also available separately, such as a softbox, an umbrella diffuser, a snoot, and others. Find compatibility with optional UL series softboxes, BDR reflectors, and more. The AD100Pro II will help you get optimum flash lighting in a variety of situations, such as portraits, stills, advertising, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions for the AD100PRO II

Is the AD100PRO II a good choice for beginners or travel shooters?
Yes. It is one of the easiest entry points into off-camera lighting if you want more power than a speedlight without jumping into a larger monolight. Its compact body, USB-C charging, and magnetic accessory support make it especially attractive for travel portraits, weddings, headshots, and fast location work.

How much power does the AD100PRO II have?
Godox clearly publishes the AD100PRO II as a 100Ws flash. In the official materials reviewed here, Godox emphasized 100Ws output, 28–85mm zoom, and improved burst handling.

What battery does it use, and how many full-power flashes can I expect?
It uses a 7.2V/2850mAh lithium battery and is rated for about 490 full-power flashes per charge. Godox also adds that the redesigned cooling system supports roughly 60 to 100 consecutive full-power flashes.

How fast is it, and does it support HSS?
Recycle time is rated at approximately 0.01 to 1.5 seconds, and it supports high-speed sync up to 1/8000 second, along with first-curtain, second-curtain, and Multi flash. In practical terms, that makes it much more useful than a typical small flash for wide-aperture daylight portraits or quick-paced subject work.

Does it support TTL, and which camera systems work with it?
Yes. The AD100PRO II supports TTL, Manual, and Multi in receiver mode, and Godox lists compatibility with Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, OM SYSTEM, Panasonic, Pentax, and Leica within the X wireless ecosystem. You will still need the correct Godox trigger or compatible on-camera master setup for the best remote workflow.

What modifiers and accessories fit the AD100PRO II?
Its built-in magnetic front works with Godox round-head accessories such as the AK-R1 kit, AK-R21 projection attachment, and AK-R22 diffusion dome. With the S3 bracket, it can also take Bowens-mount modifiers, which makes it much more flexible than its size suggests.

What should buyers know about firmware and common setup issues?
Godox provides firmware support from the product page, and the flash also supports optional 433MHz control through the FT433/FR433 route via USB-C. The most common real-world problems are usually not hardware failures but trigger pairing, channel interference, or trying to force the wrong firmware file; MoLight explicitly warns that loading the wrong firmware can brick a flash, so only use the exact file for the exact model. In general, MoLight advises updating firmware only when it will (a) solve a problem you are having, (b) provide you with a new feature you desire, or (c) fix a compatibility issue with a new camera.

What warranty and service support does MoLight offer?
MoLight’s published warranty policy says Godox flashes rated at 100Ws and above receive a two-year limited warranty, with in-house repair performed in Wisconsin. That makes the AD100PRO II one of the smaller flashes that still qualifies for MoLight’s longer published coverage.
